I'm Back! And I Am Feeling More Inspired Than Ever

Nearly three years later and I am back! My last blog post was on May 31st, 2022 and it is now May 31st 2025! Trust me, I have some very good reasons for taking a three year hiatus from this blog. It wasn't just this blog that took a back seat for the past few years. I've been busy birthing and rearing my two children since 2020 and it was about a year ago that I just started to feel capable of doing more outside of parenting and work. It was actually a year ago that I started dancing ballroom again and my dance journey has opened up my world in so many ways. A dear friend of mine said recently that "parenthood can be so isolating and I can definitely say that up until last year it felt like my world was quite small. Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate being able to live in my tiny bubble with my partner and our little humans on occasion. However, now that my kids are getting a little older and a little more independent, I feel like it is the right time to focus on myself and what brings me joy.

Whether it is dancing, spending quality time with my family, planning trips to Disneyland, meeting up for coffee or lunch date with friends or pursing my entrepreneurial interests, I am only doing things that inspire and cultivate a joyful life. I have operated with this in mind for years. When you have so many things on your plate at once, you really should only do what makes you truly happy. There is no room to live a mediocre life and to hold onto things that no longer serve you. I absolutely don't regret putting my personal interests and professional goals on hold in order to focus on my family during these early years. In the moment, it certainly was not always easy, but looking back I would do it all over again because they are my ultimate joy-sparkers. They are my ultimate reason for being, my motivation to continue to work on myself and inspiration for creating a life that is meaningful, full of connection and most importantly, full of joy.
